More and Less Serious
As a random semi-sadness note, I've moved away from playing Ranking matches in SF4 since the non-ranked matches just let you continue to play with someone. If you're having fun this is great because it means you aren't spending forever listening to the catchy, but painfully short theme song. Unfortunately, though, no one wants to play with me. *sad face* I've had pretty good luck in Player Matches, so maybe it's just that I'm winning... I dunno. I even switch from Sagat to someone else for the second and continuous rounds! Woe is me, no one will play me once they face my wrath... or something.
Another thing I've been thinking about a lot is that I'm not only not a fan of ceremonies, I also just flat out don't connect to them and in most cases even have to say that I detest them. This is beginning to look like a problem as there is a rather important ceremony coming up that I am being told I have certain responsibilities with and I'm finding myself very conflicted on it.
I'm also not really sure where the disconnect between ceremony and myself begins... but that's possibly due to me not understanding why people like/want them. My first guess is that's just a show... but it's not a show. Or, if it is, it's usually a bad one. Unless you add in a comedian or a musical guest or whatnot. But at which point it is a show and the whole ceremony portion again becomes pointless.
Hmmm... or I guess I could say that I feel that ceremony is an accent to clarify something that has happened when that clarification isn't needed.
*sigh*
Just gotta bear it, I guess.
